Debt relief

What is included

  • Map of debts, income and declared assets
  • Viability review before any promise of relief
  • Proposed next step and required documents

What is included and what is not promised

Your debts have got the better of you: loans, credit cards, a business that closed badly or guarantees now being called in. Spain's second chance law allows, in certain cases, debts you cannot pay to be cancelled. But it is not for everyone, and it is unwise to start without knowing whether you qualify.

What it includes: a viability study with your list of debts, income and assets; a clear explanation of whether you meet the requirements and what you would lose along the way; and, if you go ahead, preparation of the insolvency application and the discharge request with a lawyer from the network. What it does not include: a guarantee that the court will discharge you or that every debt can be cancelled. Some debts are excluded by law and we tell you from the start.

Documents you will need

  • List of debts with creditor, amount and status: current, unpaid or under claim.
  • Latest payslips, tax return or benefits certificate.
  • Deeds for property, vehicles or other assets in your name.
  • Any claims, seizures or demands you have already received.

Indicative timing

If you came from a problem landing, return to the problem explanation or read pricing to understand the fixed plus success-based model.

How it works

Estimated duration: 15 days.

  1. Map of your debts

We gather what you owe, to whom, what you earn and what is in your name. Without that map nobody can honestly tell you whether the second chance route works for you.

  2. Viability study and price

We tell you whether you meet the requirements, which debts could be cancelled and which could not, and which assets are at stake. With that you receive the price: a fixed part plus a variable part.

  3. Application and insolvency

The lawyer prepares and files the application with the court. We notify you of every notice and of what you need to provide at each stage.

  4. Discharge and closure

When the court rules on the discharge, we explain which debts are cancelled and which obligations remain. Everything stays in your file.

What to have at hand

  • List of debts
  • Income and asset information

Frequently asked questions

Is debt discharge guaranteed?

No. We first assess viability and risks; any outcome depends on the case and procedure.

What do I need to provide?

A list of debts, income, assets, proceedings and recent communications.

Will I lose my home if I apply?

It depends on whether there is a mortgage, its size and the route you choose. It is one of the first things we clarify in the study, before you decide.

Which debts cannot be cancelled?

Some are excluded by law, such as part of public debts or child maintenance.

Problem
